The Monkees

Hey, hey, we're the Monkees / And people say we monkey around / But we're too busy singing / To put anybody down

We formed in 1965, when we got together to make a TV show, also known as The Monkees. The original lineup consisted of three Americans: Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork; and the Englishman Davy Jones. The TV show ended after 2 years, but we kept making music together for another 3 years. We have sold over 75 million records worldwide and released over 10 albums.
